Madness Story - Chapter 5

 

 

-Chapter 5: To the elevator -

The boys went to their rooms, Ryan was hurted and he was touching his wound, the same afternoon Willy catch him.

*Flashback *

Teeth: soon we'll go to bed boys, we have to decide what are we going to do...

Everyone was seated at the table waiting for the hour of sleep to see if Lara could ask for help from Alex.
Sometimes the Guards were confused, and some patients with weird manners used to collect spoons, knives and forks, which were left in the common room, and the cooks didn't noticed. The common room had a lot of those knives and spoons in the floor or on the tables.
Ryan saw in a table next him, in the chair to be exact, a knife of the cafeteria, and Ryan thought that Willy was was an abuser, because of his problems. He couldn't stop his boot and he took the knife to try to hurt Willy.

Teeth: ...what are you doing Ryan?...Ryan?

Ryan was focused in attack Willy with the knife, Ryan was very fast and he was behind Willy, with the intention of cut him with the knife. The boy attacked Willy on the back, but he only could do him some scratches, when the giant saw what was doing, he moved his arm heavily to hit Ryan and hit him with a table. The doctors started to give Willy electric shocks to stop him, but he didn't, and he wanted to hit Ryan more and more, like an animal. The security Guards entered in the room to stop Willy, and in the end they could stop him, but Ryan was really hurted, he had a lot of scratches and having fallen had made a large cut on the soulder. Doctors attended Ryan and they took Willy out of the room to give him a punishment.

*End of flashback *

Ryan couldn't stop touching the bandages, but he could stop thinking about it and he felt asleep. Now guards and cooks will be more careful with the knives.
Meanwhile, Lara was waiting to talk with Alex. When she arrived to her room the first time she did was to look through the door grille to talk with him.

Lara: Alex...Alex...listen to me a moment...

Alex: rules says that I mustn't listen to insane people but...it's my first time so I think it's ok...I think.

Lara: come on, those are stupid things...listen...I ask you a favor...

Alex: what is it?

Lara told him the plan that they had and what they wanted to know.

Alex: but...I can't do that!...if they catch me I'm fired!...and I have to keep my family...

Lara: come on Alex...we need it!...or...we don't know what they can do with Eva...and we don't want to see her in danger! Do you have never been on the ground floor?

Alex: no, only Special Guards and doctors that work in the sector can go to the underground...and I'm a Normal Guard...

Lara: shit...please...

Lara was looking through the racks looking sad and losing hope, but it seems that Alex changed his mind.

Alex: hmmm...argh! It's ok! I'll help you...but if they catch me...I'm finished...

Lara: thanks a lot Alex! We're very happy to have your help!

Alex: you're welcome...sometimes we have to take risks...

Lara sat on the edge of her bed and looked at a small mirror in a photo frame. Suddenly she began to see Nega in the mirror, she looked worried and took back a portion of her pills.

Lara: I hope everything will be ok...I hope one day I can go out of here...

Lara lay back in bed, and after a while she fell asleep.

The next day, everyone gathered at an early hour in the common room.

Lara: ok...Angy, Pat, you have to go with Alex, he's going to help you to get the coats in the laundry...he has the keys to open it, and he'll watch for if anyone comes.

Angy: it's ok...we'll do that, we won't take even two seconds to get one...

Pat: when we start?

Lara: after the breakfast, Alex will wait for you in the entry of the common room...you have to go with him...and you know the rest...

Angy & Pat: understood!

Lara: I was thinking...after that...we'll have the coats, but Teeth and I will wait for lunch time...

Dientes: why?! I don't want to lose lunch time! It's my favourite hour!

Lara: yeah, I know...but is the best hour to go to the elevator, because doctors will be having lunch and the corridors will be free!...sometimes we have to make sacrifices Teeth...

Teeth got serious and looked Lara with decision, as if agreeing on what she had said. Before breakfast time, Willy's group approached the boys, but Willy was not among them. Candy approached her table and banged his hands.

Candy: look what have you done! They took Willy for a week in a room with a straightjacket! And it's all the fault of this puny!

Teeth: look sweetie! I remind to you thath Eva is in a harder situation and we don't argue with you!

Candy: that's because Eva and the new girl are the ones that have the fault! Not me!

Teeth: yeah, yes...but leva us alone, it's only a week Candy...he'll be back, don't worry...

Beth was quiet, but she came to Teeth and stood violently from the wheelchair to attack Teeth, but Victor stopped her in time.

Victor: stop it Beth! It's not the fault of Teeth...don't hurt him...

Beth returned to his chair without question, but actually she hadn't got a smile in her face. Candy turned and went along with Beth, and then Victor followed.
Time for breakfast, again the groups were separated. After breakfast, Angy and Pat came out with Alex in the common room, determined to go for the coats.

Alex: let's see girls...you know what we have to do, right? If we fail I'll be fired, and I don't want to lose my job...

Angy: don't worry, we're really fast at the time of steal something...

Pat: that's what you think! We didn't steal before to know it...

Angy: well...who knows...I stole you your toothbrush sometimes and you didn't noticed...

Pat: aha! You was the one who stole my toothbrush!

Alex: girls,girls...stop it and talk of this later, we have to do something important now...

The three arrived at the laundry, Alex opened the door and Angy and Pat entered, Alex standing outside for surveillance. When Pat and Angy began looking for a coat, they realized that they made a mistake by washing the clothes, the color clothes had been mixed with the white coats.

Angy: *taking a coat * who the hell can mix color clothes with white coats?! I'm sure that the washerwoman is fired or they didn't noticed yet...

All the white coats had a light pink color.

Pat: and now what?! We're going to die Angy!

Angy: don't say that...I'm sure that nobody will notice that...they'll use it only for a moment...

Pat: but they are really weird! They're light pink! LIGHT PINK!

Pat: well...something is better than nothing...

The girls came out and Alex closed the door. Alex accompanied them to the common room once again.

Lara: what the hell is that!? I said white coats! Not Barbie's coats!

Angy: we found them in this color...the washerwoman mixed the color clothes with the white coats...it's now our fault...

Lara: they'll see us! We're finished...

Teeth: but at least they're light pink and not neon pink...something is something...

Lara: well, let's see the positive side...now we can go to the elevator...I think...

Teeth: but we have to try it! We can't surrender now...

Hours passed, the boys did nothing more than beating around the plan, eating the head if it was going to be okay or not, but at last it came time to eat.
The boys met at the entrance of the common room when everyone was eating. Angy, Pat and Ryan said goodbye to Teeth and Lara, who were wearing the coats.

Angy: promise me that you will come back with Eva without problems...

Teeth took Angy's hand and he squeezed it, as a symbol of that he was going to go back, but suddenly Teeth tried to eats Angy's arm, but she avoided him.

Angy: no Teeth...bad Teeth...that's not good...

Teeth: but I'm hungry and I'm not going to eat!

Lara grabbed Teeth's back of the coat and pulled him to leave the kids alone. Once in the corridor, they decided to go to the elevator.

Teeth: shit! Do you know where the elevator is?

Lara: hmmm...actually not...we should take a look to a map or something to know where's the zone of punished patients or something else...

Teeth: hmmm...I think that in the entrance of every office there's a map...

They looke for a map near to them.

Lara: hmmm...ok...I have it, we must go to the corridor of the left side to go to those rooms.

They walked to the rooms of punished patients. In one of the rooms was Willy, he couldn't move with the straightjacket, but he did an effort to look through the window.

Willy: who's there?...oooooooooooooooh! My favourite puny boy!

Teeth: shut up Willy, we have a mission...

Willy: open my room and let me go out of here and I won't hit you anymore...hahahahaha!

Teeth: you're mad Willy...

Lara: we're all mad here...ignore him...

Willy became angry and started banging on the door, but it got nowhere.

Willy: if I go out of here I'll kill you two!

Lara and Teeth changed his face to one of concern, but also ignored Willy and decided to enter the elevator.

Teeth: awesome! At least we are here...and nobody saw us...I feel like Solid Snake!

Lara: winks later...we have to go in and go to the underground...

When they went inside the elevator, they noticed a very big problem that they didn't know about...

Lara: oh...shit...no...

Madness Story - Chapter 4

 

 

-Chapter 4: The elevator-

While Lara and Eva were driven to their punishment, the others had been brought together in the common room, where Teeth began telling to Angy and Pat what happened.

Teeth: ...and then they took them! They haven't come back here, I have a bad feeling girls...

Angy and Pat hugged quickly and looked up with frightened faces. A giant shadow covered the light that reached Teeth.

Teeth:  ...what the he...?

Teeth turned and realized that it was Willy and his group. Eva and the kids had never gotten along with them, because sometimes they had tried to make life impossible. Willy looked at Teeth with a wicked grin.

Teeth: what do you want Big Dog?! Leave us alone, this topic doesn't interest you at all...

Willy: hahahaha! Idiot! We heard everything...the new one just arrived and Eva is in trouble again...and this time it's a big problem, I saw this coming, yeah...and you're going to end the same, you're pathetic...

Teeth: and you're not pathetic?! Giant idiot...

Willy grabbed Teeth by the collar of the shirt with one hand, and lifted him up, as if lifting a feather. Beth and Candy, who were the girls in the group, watched from behind Willy, saying nothing, however, Victor, one of the other members of this group tried to stop Willy. She approached him and tried to pull the arm to stop.

Victor: Willy stop it! He didn't did nothing to you...you don't have to fight with him...

Willy left Teeth back into the ground. Teeth snorted relief.

Teeth: look big boy...I don't want to fight with you...so go to play with Victor and your girls to another place...go play chess or something like that...

Candy stepped forward and put his hand on the shoulder of Willy.

Candy: let's go Willy, we have nothing to do here...we'll be back to see the new girl.

Willy looked away and ran off with his group. Teeth, Pat and Angy sat at a table to kill time.
Past a couple of hours, the doctors left Lara back in the common room. She was half falling and weak, the doctors had medicated her again, but still came to the table of Teeth and company to tell them some things she had seen.

Lara: guys...I think I saw something weird...I hope it wasn't an allucination or something like that...

The boys gathered and listened carefully to what Lara had to say.

Lara: the room were I was today...it was in front of an elevator...

Teeth: What is special about an elevator?
Quickly Angy hit Teeth in the head.

Angy: shut up Teeth! It's something interesting...

Lara: let's see...the first time I arrived here I thought that there only were levels that were up...but I saw that the doctors were to underground levels...this mean...

Teeth: there something under the facade!

Angy: that's it!...and...what's underground?

Lara: I don't know...but they took Eva to this level...I have a bad feeling...

teeth: we can't left Eva in that place!...I don't know what's it but...she's our friend!

Lara: I know...but I don't know how can we go to that level without been caught...

Teeth: oh...that's right...it's really hard...hmmmm...

Pat: I know how! We can try to steal some doctor's clothes!...there's a lot of people here so, I don't think they know everbody...

Angy: good idea! Actually I think they don't know where we are right now...

Teeth: awesome! I think it's not really difficult to steal some...hmmm...

Lara: how the hell are we going to steal four scientific robes? They would see that...

Angy: actually we haven't got to steal four robes...not everybody have to go there...four scientifics...it's really suspicious...

Teeth: you're right...it's really weird to see four scientifics going down at the same time...and we don't know what's underground...

Lara: and we can't be caught or they'll give us and do the same thing as Eva...I don't know what they're doing...Teeth and I are going to the underground, and you will steal two robes...

Angy: it's ok...but please, bring Eva safely...

Teeth: we'll do it! And if we need it...I'll eat people in our way!...or at least I'll try it...

Shortly after a few doctors entered the room taking a new patient, he seemed worried. They left him in the room and left. The boy sat at a table alone, staring into infinity. Teeth saw Willy's group approached it.

Willy: hey boy! Are you new here? You can come with us if you want, before the weak group try to convince you...hehehe...we're better...

The boy looked at Willy.

Boy: I don't want to go with you...you don't looks like a good person...

Willy: come on man! We aren't bad people! We only have more fun! Hahahaha!

The boy stood up and he changed of table, ignoring Willy and his group.

Willy was furious and went to hit the boy, but Teeth stepped in front of him to protect the boy.

Willy: go away Teeth! He asked for it!

Teeth: he's new and you want to hit him! Piece of ass!

Willy punched Teeth and knocked him down. How Willy was controlled by a collar, the doctors released an electric download to Willy in the neck, to calm him.

Willy: it's ok...you win this time, little one...

Willy's group turned to withdraw, leaving Teeth with a toothache, but despite all what happened, Teeth stood up and the boy showed up.

Boy: my name's Ryan...

Teeth: and what have you done to be here? You looks like a nice boy...

Angy: here everybody looks nice but they do what they don't want...

Pat: but now Willy, Willy is horrible by himself, jijijiji

Ryan: …

Teeth: ok, I see that you don't want to talk right now...

Teeth told Ryan what happened to Eva.

Ryan: I...I can help you...this security guard...Alex...he looks like a nice guy...

Lara: hmmm...true...we could ask Alex...maybe he can help us...

At night, the boys were separated and taken to their own rooms, but Lara was ready to ask Alex for a little help.

Madness Story - Chapter 3

 

 

-Chapter 3: Lesson -

Lara passed the day and got to know the kids better, but it was time to eat, favourite time of Teeth.

Teeth: let's go everybody to eat! Let's eat! Let's eat! Eat eat eat eat...

Eva: shut up Teeth, we know that is time to eat, it's nothing new.

Pat: but it's new for Lara...or not? Hehehe

Eva: yeah, you're right...but it's no reason for Teeth to be like that...

Angy: but you know how is Teeth...always thinking about eating, you can't stop his wrath!

The boys arrived at the entrance of the cafeteria, where all patients ate at a certain hour. The room was quite large, but divided into two sections, one for dangerous patients and other for non-dangerous patients.

Eva: Pat, Angy, see you later...Lara, you come with Teeth and me...

Lara looked at his arm, she was marked as a dangerous patient.

Lara: well...I didn't think I could be so dangerous ... 

Eva: well,yes...here everybody is marked, if we are dangerous patients, you can be scared, doctors will “love” you more, we are always more interesting patients to them.

Lara: what's the reason?...we looks like laboratory rats or something like that...and Antonio is really kind with me...

Teeth: it's because you have the best doctor! He's a legend...or something like that...or exaggerating...it's only very kind...

Lara: I thought that his work was to be a kind person with the patient to cure them easily...

Eva: of course not...that's what it looks like, they're all bastards...but don't worry about Antonio, he's a nice one.

The three sat at a table and picked up a tray of food. While they were eating, they were having a conversation.

Eva: it's really difficult to live in peace with everybody here, we're all mad, we lose control...above all if you're a dangerous patient...you never know when can you lose your head and hurt a friend ...

Teeth: but still...you know that they treat you the same!

Eva looked away and continued eating. Lara didn't know what happened there with Eva and company, but was sure that one day she would know.

Teeth: you know?...it's difficult to make friends here if you're a dangerous patient...nobody wants to talk with you...but we do an exception...we don't want to be here for life...hmmm...Lara?

Lara was a bit lost, her head was hurting.

Teeth: are you ok?...

Lara: yes,yes...don't worry...I'll be better...I'll be better...

Teeth was confused, but he started eating again.

All seemed well until it was time for dessert. Teeth ran to catch the best desserts. Lara and Eva stayed at the table alone. At that time, Lara began to ache again, which made her to take the spoon with violence. Eva looked at Lara slowly to see what was happening, but without giving time to react, Lara jumped over with the spoon, trying to hit Eva. Eva, who saw what was coming to pass, grabbed the knife and she fell to the ground to dodge the attack of Lara, but Lara kept insisting. Eva attacked Lara before she could strike again, Eva knocked her down and she stabbed the knife in the hand where she had the spoon. Eva violently grabbed Lara's neck trying to choke her, the two lost their mind, but security guards came quickly to stop what they were doing. They electrified Eva and Lara and took them outside the cafeteria. Teeth, who had seen everything, stood with open mouth and dropped the spoon on the floor.

Doctor: what the hell have you done?!

The two girls didn't open their mouth.

Doctor: I see...I think that you need more drugs than usual...as punishment you will be stoned all day and locked in a small room...separated, of course...you'll learn...

Eva looked up, angry, and stood up from the chair violently.

Eva: asshole!! with this you won't get anything!...don't you see that it's not our fault?!...we're mad!...we can't avoid it!

The doctor nodded and the guards took Eva and Lara and taken away, but the doctor added a few last words.

Doctor: give Eva what she deserves.

Eva was really scared, she started to shout really loudly and the whole Asylum heard her.

Madness Story - Chapter 2

 

 

-Chapter 2: Making friends-

Alex approached to the door where Lara was.

Alex: hey...you!...aren't you bored?

Lara looked at Alex.

Lara: I do what I can...I find fun where I can...I want to go out of here...I'm not comfortable here...I want to be free, like you.

Alex was surprised with Lara's words.

Alex: are you sure that you're mad?...you looks like a normal girl...

Lara: maybe...but I know that I'm not ok...look what I did yesterday...you was the guard who helped me with the crystals?

Alex: oh...can you remember now?

Lara: only a bit, but...yeah,I recognize you...you're the Green Guardian...

Alex stopped and started to think, he thought that she was calling him like that because of his green uniform.

Alex: he...really?...I'm the Green Guardian for you?

Lara: yeah...something like that...it's funny to imagine some things when you're in a situation like mine,don't you think?

Alex: maybe it's better this way...I think...

Alex stopped talking for a moment.

Alex: hmmm...you know?...don't tell anyone, but we call you “Alice”...hehe,it works for you,right?

Lara: well...he...I love the name...I've always liked the story of “Alice in Wonderland”...when I want to be alone or safe I go to my own imaginary world...like Alice...

Alex: *whispering * ...yeah,of course...you were talking alone and doing a “tea party” with imaginary friends...

Lara: did you say something?

Alex looked away trying to hide.

Alex: no, nothing, really...oh look! Here comes the doctor!...are you ready for your second date?

Lara: well...I think it's ok...after all I feel better talking with the doctor...

The doctor opened the door and entered to talk with Lara again.

Antonio: let's see...I think that today we'll do the session here...it's ok for you?...I don't want you to fight with the mirror again...

Lara: it's ok...no problem...but I want a room for me soon...I'm bored here...

Antonio: I'll see what I can do...are you ready?have you remembered something new?

Lara looked down trying to remember, but she knew that she remembered a lot of things.

Lara: yes...I can tell you something you don't know...something about my parents...I can say that...someone used me...I want to cure myself...I don't want to feel like an object, people use me!...like last time...

Antonio: tell me more...what happened?...between your parents and you...or it was another person?

Lara: well...everybody had an influence...to end up like that...

Antonio: it's everything about the fire?

Lara: well...I think that...it wasn't the fire only...

Antonio: don't worry, tell me everything.

Lara: it's ok...yes...the fire...I didn't provoked it...or I don't know...I think that...it was the girl of the mirror...

Antonio: doctors are calling her “Nega”...it's ok for you?

Lara: well,yeah...you can call her like that if you want...well, Nega...she burned the house, not me, she used my body in some way...and she burned the house...but it's the fault of a man...a man that  urged me to do it...he knew what happened with me...and he used me...he was the one who urged me to burn the house...

Antonio: your parents knew what was happening with you?

Lara: actually yes...when I was a little girl they tried to cure me...using a psychologist...they thought that one of the therapies worked, but I don't think so...because of that, my parents started to treat me...badly, when they saw that the therapy didn't worked...they started to ignore me,like I was invisible or something...and when I went “mad”, they closed my room so I couldn't leave, althought they removed all the dangerous objects around me when I was in that “state”,with the years those things were dissapearing but...this year everything started again...

Antonio: I see...actually you weren't a happy family,right?

Lara: since they realized that I had no cure...they started to act like that,before that we were a happy family, believe me...

Antonio: and...do you remember the person who urged you?

Lara: no...not really, I only remember that I was walking back home, this person stopped in front of me and started to say to me some things to burn the house...he knew me and what happened to me...I want to find this person...to make justice...

Antonio: let's see what we can do, at least, your information it's really helpful for the police...the police is having fun with your house...but oh well...

Lara: well...if you know something...tell me...

Antonio: of course, you'll be the first person, I promise...by the way, I think that you're under control, you have to make friends here,with other patients...maybe you can find someone nice,don't you think?

Lara: hmm...but they have to talk to me first...I can't talk with everything that I don't know...

Antonio: I see...but oh well, don't worry, if you need something...tell someone, ok?

Lara: it's ok...I think...

Antonio: oh! Another thing...we are going to give you new clothes to walk around here,ok? Is the outfit that the patients have here...and it's not a straightjacket...be a good girl,ok? I don't want to leave you in a special room with a straightjacket again.

Lara: I promise that I'll try to me a good girl...and I'll eat all my pills...

Antonio: awesome...Alex will give you the clothes...see you later! Bye!

The doctor left the room quickly and Lara couldn't ask about her new room, but right now, that wasn't the most important thing.
Alex gave Lara the new clothes and she started to use them.Alex accompanied her until they reached a large room where patients could hang out. Lara was surprised when she saw that there weren't a lot of people.
Lara looked at Alex's face in disbelief.


Lara: are you sure that I have to talk with all these people?

Alex: well,not really...only when the nice one, here's people that goes mad easily...you looks like one of the best one here,seriously...

Lara: well...it's good to hear that...I want to go out of here soon...

Alex left Lara with the new people. When the kids saw that the guard wasn't here, they stopped playing and ran quickly to see Lara.
They were a small group of four people, a boy and three girls, in the other side of the room, there was another group with five persons, but they didn't moved. The four were staring at Lara, how if she were a new toy.

Boy: look at her!...it's the new one!...I've already ate, but I can say that she looks tasty...I don't mind if I eat some meat again...or simply everything!

One of the girls hit the boy in the head.

Girl 1: shut up Teeth! You're everytime thinking about eat and eat and eat meat...you're going to become a big fat seal and you're going to die!
Two of the girls starting to laugh loudly.

Lara: what's so funny?...

The girls stopped and stared at Lara again.

Girl 2: he's Teeth!...hahahaha! He's here for cannibalism , awesome,no? Doctors said that he tried to eat his mother's arm!...hahahahaha!

Lara looked at the boy with a sick face, but the boy smiled.

Girl 1: when he try to eat someone, the doctors put a muzzle on his mouth...hahahaha! Like a hungry dog!

The boy was angry and turned back.

Lara: I see...and you?...

The two girls were really nervous and they couldn't start talking, so, the third girl started to talk, and welcomed Lara.

Girl 3: my name's Eva...the boy is Christopher, but we call him Teeth...and they're Patricia, the brunette, and Angela, the blond one...

Lara looked at they and wanted to smile, but she couldn't.

Lara: nice to meet you...you don't have nicknames?

The girls were a bit confused.

Patricia: no,we haven't got one...but Teeth needed one because he need one!...he's a guzzler...

Christopher started to talk again, with an angry face.

Teeth: I said that my name's not Teeth!

Angela: say what you want...stop eating now or all you T-E-E-T-H will go away

Chris ignored Angela. Eva looked like the mature girl in the group, she invited Lara to sit in a chair. While Chris, Patricia and Angela where playing a game, Eva started to tell Lara what was going on and other things.

Eva: I'm going to tell you everything...how you know...Teeth is here for cannibalism...he tried to eat his mother's arm...I think that he's the only one of the group that have family who comes to visit him...sometimes a boy comes to visit him...I think that he plays something in a group of the city...

Lara: hmmm...yeah, the band of the city...they maked a concert yesterday...but I don't mind...

Eva: Patricia and Angela are like sisters,but they're not...Patricia “losed her mind” when her family was killed in front of her by a thief, she was the only one that survived, but she was the one that killed the thief with a gun...she says that sometimes she sees the spirit of the thief and of her family around her,she says that the thief wants to kill her...everything is a fantasy created by her mind, but nothing more...

Lara: and where did she found the gun?

Eva: she never wanted to tell us...maybe she stoled the gun from the thief...or maybe her father had a gun in his room,who knows...when she's happy and is with us she's a happy girl, but when we have to sleep and she's alone in her room, she is depressed, and start to cry and shout loudly...

Lara: I see...that's a pity...

Eva: well,anyone is happy here at night...you slept last night really good...this place at night is really scary, sometimes we saw some patients that dissapeared and didn't go back...but this is another story, I don't want to scare you...

Lara: you did it, now I know how people can't sleep at night...

Eva: no joke,it's not funny...but oh well...Angela is here simply because of depression,she tried to kill herself some times...I think that their parents died in a terrorist attack...in a train or something like that,I'm not sure...the weird thing is that no ones come here to see her,and I think she have family...

Lara: sometimes family is not here to help you...why doctors don't left her in a special room with a straightjacket?...

Eva: well,she's like Patricia, when she's with us she forget everything, but the night is here...she is depressed, and can be dangerous,but doctors removed all the dangerous things of her room...

Lara: oh...yes...not that hard after all...and you?

Eva changed the conversation.

Eva: you didn't tell me your name...doctors call you Alice...it's your name?

LarA: no,not really but...

Eva: well,it's ok,can we call you Alice?

Lara: well,yeah,if you want, but my real name's Lara

Eva: well,ok Alice...or Lara...I think we're going to be great friends...

Eva stood up and ignored the question of Lara, but Lara knew that she was hidding something.

Madness Story - Chapter 1

 

 

-Chapter 1: Tell me who am I-

Lara had arrived at the Asylum of the city,she came with two doctors,they still had some questions to ask before testing psychologically.

Doctor: hmmm ... a new girl, recently it seemed that everything was better ... but anyway, let's see... go ahead.

They continued until they reach a place where there was a security guard.

Guard: hmm ?...Where did you found this girl?

Doctor : a woman called us, but she's not her mother, she found her alone.

Guard: I see ... now we have more paperwork ... and the girl hasn't got family...

Doctor: yeah ... I know, but we can't do anything ... is what we have ...

Lara looked up and tried to say something, but she couldn't,she was really tired and she was really sad.

Guard: poor girl ... she can't talk right now ... it's better that we assign one of our doctors ... well ... let's see what we can do ... I'll search for a doctor for her.

While waiting they sat in a seat in the waiting room, waiting for some doctor. Suddenly appeared at the door Dr. Antonio Sanchez Geduld , better known there as Dr. Patience, because he had infinite patience with all patients. Lara approached to see him better.

Dr.Sánchez: hi friend ... what's your name ?...

Lara, who was looking down a little depressed, raised her head to look at the doctor.

Lara: ... my ... my name is Lara ... that's all, you don't have to know anything more about me ...

The doctor touched his head with his hand and gave him a face of confidence.

Dr.Sánchez: hey ... you can trust me ... I will try to help you ... so,help me too... okay? ... I need to know a little more about you.

She looked at him with a smile and turned his head to tell the doctors that they could return to work. The doctor invited Lara to stand up, to bring her to his office, where he had everything for a psychologist, a desk and a chair for the patient. The Doctor and Lara entered the office, the doctor removed his white coat, to feel more comfortable while he was doing a few questions to Lara.

Dr.Sánchez: sit ... feel free ...

Lara was still standing, looking up all the room where she was.

Dr.Sánchez: c'mon, do not be ashamed, feel like at home.

Lara looked at him ready to reply him.

Lara: No ... I don't want to feel like at home ... is ... disgusting ...

The doctor  smiled, hoping that everything went well without complications.

Dr.Sánchez: tell me what happened to your home ... or your parents ... don't worry, you can trust me, I promise.

Lara sat in one of the chairs that had the doctor in the room and started talking to him quietly.

Lara: Doctor...do you know what happened? ... The house of the street near here... it was on fire and...I ran...

Dr.Sánchez: you can call me Antonio if you want ... don't feel compelled to speak as you don't want, feel free... but what happened? ... why did you run away? ...

Lara: hmm ...it's ok ... Antonio ... I ... provoked the fire ... I ... I  killed my parents ...

Antonio: I see ... why do ...?

Lara stood up while the doctor was speaking.The doctor was a bit worried. She hit the desk of the doctor with both hands and looked away.

Lara: No ... I ... I didn't did it ... SHE did it ... the damn girl of the mirror!

Antonio: Don't worry... you're here alone with me,you don't have to worry like that ... tell me ... who is she? ... The girl of the mirror ...

Lara: SHE CHASE ME! ... she's everywhere ...

Lara began to spin in a circle in the room while she was thinking what she was going to say.

Lara: first,she was only in the mirrors ... but now I see her everywhere!

Lara noticed the mirror of the doctor's office,she went to the mirror and stared for a few seconds, then she punched the mirror.The mirror was broken, the pieces was in the ground. Lara fell in the ground, grabbed one of the pieces without worry, his hand began to bleed, but she kept on with it. She started hitting the other pieces with the piece of the mirror in her hands, like a madwoman. Antonio stood up quickly to stop her.

Antonio: stop now! Stop now girl!

A guard heard them and entered the room worried.He stopped Lara and separed her from the crystals. Antonio injected Lara with a painkiller.

Guard: oh my ... I didn't saw a person like her in ages...

Antonio looked at the guard worried.

Antonio: she looked like ... a normal girl ... she spoke correctly and everything ... life can take many surprises ... it's true ...

Guard: now you can't trust anyone ...* sigh *
Antonio: I think she should rest for now ... we should change her clothes and put her in a special room ... I want her safe.

Guard: whatever you say doctor!

The doctor began to collect all the crystals in the ground. Meanwhile, some nurses were healing Lara's hands.

Nurse: oh my...that's what you can see here...we'll go crazy too...

Lara turned her head and looked at her sadly.

Lara: believe me...I never wanted to end like this...always wanted to be someone “normal”...as they say...

Nurse: you're a nice person...*sigh * I hate to see people like that...what a pity...well...that's life...

After she was healed, she changed her clothes. Now she was wearing a straightjacket, they had to leav her in a special room for a while. The guard put her down gently. AS he left, he closed the door and another guard stood outside the door. The girl, was half asleep, and she began to say things without thinking.

Lara: you don't have to leave me here!...ALL OF YOU ARE MAD!!...EVERYONE IS!

The guard of the door was ignoring her, everybody said the same things. But he couldn't resist to turn around and talk to her.

Security Guard: girl...shut up! You don't know what you're saying...sleep and shut up!

The security guard didn't noticed that she was sleeping,but it looked like it wasn't comfortable to sleep in that room.

Security Guard: well...she can't talk now...

After a few hours, in the morning, Lara woke up, and the first thing she saw was that they were opening her room. He was the Dr. Antonio, he was holding some paper and some pills in his hands. The doctor wanted to talk with Lara.

Dr.Antonio: good morning!...I have something for you...your pills!...I know that I don't know well what's happening to you right now...I have to study you more...but with those pills your mind will be more relaxed...they'll avoid the girl in the mirror...for a few hours.

Lara: ...stop calling her the girl in the mirror...she can appear everywhere now...

Antonio: well...you was the one that called her like that...and you broke the mirror in my office...remember?

Lara: well...only a bit...I want to remove this straightjacket from me...I'm tired of being tied...

Antonio: don't worry...I'm going to open the straightjacket while your under the effects of the pills,okay?...although I have bad news...you have to wait in this room until I search for a normal room for you...with bed and all this stuff!

Lara: what a detail...

Antonio: ok...I'll see you later...I'll check you later, I want to hear more things, if you can remember something tell me...I want to stop this...and then...I want to heal you from your madness...

Lara: I apreciate what are you doing for me...after all...well,  never mind, you can go back to work, you have to be busy...

The doctor left the room and Lara as alone again, with her box of pills. He took one, and after a while, she began talking to herself.

Lara: I'll kill you...damn ghost...you scared me but...you can't now!...I'll not run more...you're trapped...

She punched the hair and then she was friend with her “invisible” friend. She began to take an imaginary tea.

Lara: who wants some tea?...I preffer it with milk!...I like it...I see that I haven't got so many guests but...I'll try to be friendly with the few I have...

The doctor was “spying” her behind the door, taking notes in his notebook.

Antonio: that's awesome...she thinks that she's taking tea with friends...she has a lot of imagination...or she just have some allucinations but...hmmm...it seems that she wants to escape from reality to have a “better” or “funny” day...it looks like her mind is self-defending her...well...if she just acts like that...I haven't got to worry...she reminds me a bit of  “Alice in Wonderland”...it's an interesting book...

The security guard that was near the door of Lara was hearing everything.

Security Guard: awesome...Alice...I think we can call her Alice...this can be funny...right Dr.Patience?

Antonio: he...don't call me that...but it's good to know that I have patience...Alice...looks nice for her...yeah...not bad...let's see what I can do with her and her problems...

Security Guard: he...I know you're going to cure her doctor...when you want to do something...you can do it! I wish you good luck!

Antonio: I wish you good luck yoo...Alex...

The doctor left the place to return to his office, leaving Alex and the room of Lara.

Madness Story - Introduction

 

 

-Introduction-

Not a lot of people knew what was going on in the little neighborhood . The people and the firefighters were around the house on fire, watching what happened. The little house of a family was on fire, but it looked like someone did it.
In this moment, a girl was running down the streets, scaping from the scenery. The streets were empty, people were watching the fire or the concert of the city.

Lara: I must go out of here...if they catch me...no...I didn't did anything...it's not my fault...it was the girl of the mirror...yes...she's the murderer...or not?...I'm not sure... *running *

Behind her was a woman that wanted to catch her.

Woman: wait girl! Stop running! I'm not going to hurt you! I only want to talk!

Lara didn't stop running, soon she saw that she was going to hit a girl that was walking bored in the street. The girl dodged  Lara without any problem.

Lara: *looking at the girl and running * I'm so sorry girl! I'm so sorry! Seriously!

The girl was confused, but she started to walk again, instead, the woman was following Lara without pause. Lara was tired and stopped running, thinking about what was happening.

Lara: *sigh * ...I can't return...it's my fault...

The woman was confused, with an “I don't know anything” face. But then, Lara touched her head with a hand.

Lara: NO! IT'S NOT MY FAULT! *She turned and pointed to the back of the woman * IT'S HER FAULT!

The woman was scared, she wanted to scream, she felt that something was behind her. The woman watched her back and there was nobody.

Woman: there's nobody...girl

Lara turned again, she fell in the ground and touched her head with her two hands, she was really worried.

Lara: yes,she was...she was behind you...it's true...she was here...with you...

The woman was really confused and scared.

Woman: I think that...you need some help...

Lara stood up and started to cry.

Lara: maybe...maybe I'm not ok...maybe...my mind is gone...but...I'm admitting it...mad people doesn't do that...I'm worried about my mental health...but nobody believed me...it's seems that...I'm mad...

Lara felt that she was a bit rejected and started to cry again, but the woman saw her and she wanted to help her.

Woman: don't cry!...I'm going to send you to a better place!...they'll help you!

Lara looked at the woman, with hope.

Lara: let's see...I hope they can help me...

The woman smiled and walked to a pay phone, where she called the Mental Health Unit.They went to pick up Lara, she thanked the doctors and left.

Backstory (?): Once she was a human that worked for Aperture Science. She was a researcher in the lab. She was always worried about her work and about others,and in the end,Aperture used her to test the transfer of conscience into a AI.

Como el parásito que afecta a las personas para su transformación en Nega afecta directamente al cerebro,éste consigue desarrollar poderes ocultos del cerebro para otorgar poderes especiales a los Negas,aunque con un buen entrenamiento mental,se puede llegar a controlar el poder siendo una persona humana.Dependiendo del Nega (y su rareza),sólo se puede tener uno de los siguientes poderes:


Comunes


-Telequinesis: este poder otorga a un Nega el poder mover o levitar objetos.

-Piroquinesis: este poder otorga a un Nega el poder crear o manipular el fuego. (El fuego es del color principal del Nega).

-Hydrokinesis: este poder otorga a un Nega el poder crear o manipular el agua.

-Cryoquinesis: este poder otorga a un Nega el poder manipular el frío o el hielo. (El hielo es del color principal del Nega).

-Electroquinesis: este poder otorga a un Nega el poder manipular la electricidad. (Los rayos son del color principal del Nega).


Semi-Comunes


-Telepatía: este poder otorga a un Nega el poder de leer la mente de las personas normales.

-Teletransporte: este poder otorga a un Nega el poder de teletransportarse (pero no más de 30-40 metros).

-Poder de viajar entre universos: es la habilidad de poder viajar desde nuestro universo hasta el negauniverso y viceversa. La forma más fácil de viajar es a través de los espejos o algún tipo de material que refleje a la persona con claridad,aunque también se podría viajar de otras maneras algo más cimplicadas.



Sobre el Negauniverso

El Negauniverso era anteriormente un Universo paralelo parecido al nuestro, con algunos cambios poco notables, pero fue arrasado por el parásito Nega, (porque al hacerse más fuerte, acabó con la raza humana) y ahora éste parásito se está desarrollando en nuestro Universo. El parásito empieza siendo algo más débil,pero si la persona no lucha por recuperar su estado normal, el parásito acabará ocupando esa mente, y acabará siendo solamente uno, el Nega. Lara descubre algo tarde, que tiene la capacidad de transportarse al Negauniverso, y allí descubre que el otro Universo tenía los conocimientos y tecnología suficiente para acabar con el parásito, aunque no les dio tiempo a usarlos. Ahora, unos pocos de nuestro Universo capaces de controlar el parásito, formaran unas fuerzas especiales para intentar recuperar la tecnología del Negauniverso y acabar con la plaga.

About the powers


How the Nega parasit affects directly to the brain for the transformation into a Nega, it can give special powers which are "sleeping" in our brain.A person can use the powers of his Nega with an intensive mental training.Depending of the Nega (and how special he is),they can have only one of those powers:


Normal


-Telequinesis: Negas can levitate or move objects with this power.

-Piroquinesis: Negas can control or create fire with this power. (The fire has the main colour of the Nega).

-Hydrokinesis: Negas can control or create water with this power.

-Cryoquinesis: Negas can control or create ice with this power. (The ice has the main colour of the Nega).

-Electroquinesis: Negas can control or create electricity with this power. (The ray has the main colour of the Nega).


Semi-Normal


-Telepathy: Negas can read the mind of normal persons with this power.

-Teleportation: Negas can teleport with this power (no more than 30-40 metres).

-Animoskinesis: Negas can change the state of a person in their own state (happiness,depression...)

-The power to travel between universes: this is the hability to travel between our Universe and the Negaverse. The easiest form to travel is using mirrors or another material like this one,but she can travel in other ways (but difficult ones).


About the Negaverse

The Negaverse was an Universe like the one of us but with small differences,but it was destroyed by the Nega parasite, (it became strong and killed all the human race) and now the parasit is growing in our Universe too. The parasit seems to be weak,but if the person don't fight for his mind, the parasit will rule his mind,and it'll destroy the human becoming only one,the Nega. Lara discovers that she can travel between Universes,and in the Negaverse,she descovers that they discovered the technology to destroy the Nega parasits,but they couldn't use it because it was too late. Now, only a few of our Universe that can control the parasit, will form a special forces trying to recover the technology to save the humanity.
